He was born in Aydın in 1954. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Aydın. He entered the Faculty of Medicine at Ege University in 1972. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1978. After his graduation, he started his specialization education in Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiology at the same year. He completed his specialty education in 1983.
